David Fort - Co-Founder,

and Director of Healthcare Practice
David has over 20 years of experience working for small, mid and large sized public health and healthcare companies/organizations in various capacities ranging from analyst to CFO. Previously, David worked on behalf of a myriad of organizations such as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts, United Healthcare, OTSData, and Fresenius Medical Care North America, to name a few, helping these companies strengthen their organizations. David is an experienced problem solver and negotiator who got his start in the business world working for his father in the highly competitive construction business. Over his career, he has also worked in the retail, healthcare, financial services, fundraising, non-profit and social services industries.
David has a AB from Colgate University, a MPH with a concentration in Public Health Policy and Administration from the University of Michigan, a MBA with a dual concentration in Innovation Entrepreneurship and Finance and a Masters of Science in Finance (MSF) both from Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business. Additionally, he has attended Harvard University and the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Outside of Fort Strategic, David is a avid jazz music lover, college football fan and cyclist. He is also involved in a number of causes including at-risk youth mentoring, violence against women prevention and raising money on behalf of non-profits such as the American Council of the Blind and Americans For Responsible Solutions. Additionally, David is involved in other civic endeavors including serving on the Board of Health for the second largest city in New England, Worcester Massachusetts.
